On Flora Day the streets are thronged with thousands of visitors and there’s a carnival atmosphere all day and into the night. Outside is a cannon taken from HMS Anson, wrecked at Loe Bar in 1807. Porthleven is a charming fishing harbour and world class surf break. Set in Helston in the Cornwall region and The Flambards Experience reachable within 11 km, Tresowes Green Cottage offers accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private... Lovely apartment with a beautiful garden with toys for our children. The harbour village of Portleven is delightful and some great live music in the pubs there. We did enjoy a coastal walk. Local cheese, bread and juice for lunch from the Farmers’ Market, held on the first Saturday of every month at the Old Cattle Market.
